A List of Reasons Why Classes Are Canceled (In No Particular Order)

No, I am not joking.  The follow are all reasons I have had a class canceled:

1. Mr. Edgar has to go to the regional capital and visit the many office buildings of the Chilean bureaucracy to get his ID card. (God willing, he will have it this Friday)
2. Worker's Day
3. Teacher pay day
4. Some teachers didn't get paid on the pay day, so a second teacher's payday.
5. The school schedule has been changed
6. The lights went out
7. Basketball game against another local school
8. Day of Coexistence.  Assembly!
9. Day of School Pride. Assembly!
10. The school schedule has been changed...again.
11. Classmate's grandfather's funeral
12. Student's Day.  Assembly ALL DAY!
13. Policeman's Day.  Parade in the street.
14. Teachers went out all weekend and forgot to plan...oops!
15. The school schedule has been changed a third time.  Hopefully the last time?
16. Mother's Day.  Another assembly!
17. And my favorite one...students are traveling to a nearby city to buy government-subsidized laptop computers.
